I recently adopted a cat that is about 12 years old. He’s been neutered, has problems with his kidneys and needs to be on an allergen free diet. Me and my housemates took him in, because his previous owner (who lived across the street), moved away and couldn’t take him with her. She’s still paying for vet visits and the medication that he has to take everyday for his kidneys. Here comes the problem, his teeth are in a very bad condition, and are really damaging his gums, they’re swollen, bleeding, and in pain. The vet told us that his teeth have to be removed because he’s suffering, she gave us an estimate of what it would cost and neither us, nor the previous owner, nor all of us together can afford it. I’ve already looked at some charities, but we are not eligible because we don’t have house or council tax benefit. We’re students that dont receive a lot of money for our living expenses.
So, if anyone knows an organisation, or a place, or any information you could give me that could help us afford the surgery, I’ll be extremely grateful!!!
